It’s late May and its so good to see house martins in Portishead Hole. Their fizzing and wheeling is such a wonderful sight.
These birds have recently arrived from Africa and will spend the summer with us.
At low tide they swoop down to pick up pellets of mud. They use the mud to build their nests under the eaves in the newly built houses of the Fishing Village.
